On the 26th June 2018, we had the privilege of again being the Platinum Sponsors for the Maidstone Business Awards at The Maidstone Mecure Great Danes Hotel.

On arrival, we were greeted by the option of a welcome drink.  This gave us a great opportunity to catch up with people that we hadn't managed to see for a while and meet some new faces.

After a short while, we were called to our respective tables and given an idea of how the evening would unfold.

The evening began with introductions from Paul Andrews who was the MC for the evening and was followed by a welcome speech from our very own AGILIS mobile Customer Services Director, Tina George.

We then began the evening meal.  As guests enjoyed their specially crafted three course meal, hosts and guests alike were getting to know each other better and find common interests outside of their usual business environments.  It was lovely to see everyone getting on so well and forming new friendships.

The meal was brought to a close and Paul announced that the Awards were about to begin!

During the awards, we heard from those that had managed to arrange a pre-recorded video.  It was great to see the diversity of businesses in each category and how passionate they all were about their various industries.  It was lovely to see how much they appreciated the efforts of the whole team that they worked with and their drive to succeed.

As the evening progressed, we witnessed the close bond each business had and how proud they were of everything they had managed to achieve so far, often in the face of economic and personal difficulties.  Each winner gave an impassioned thank you speech, taking care to mention those that had helped them on their journey.

AGILIS Mobile Director and Judge for the Creative and Digital Category - Tina George;

"As Platinum Sponsor for the Maidstone Business Awards (and the previously held Ashford and Canterbury Awards) we have witnessed first-hand the positive effect that being part of this process can achieve for a business, from the moment it is shortlisted for an award.  The extensive publicity around the awards help to elevate the awareness of those businesses shortlisted and gives them a stage from which to share their story and engage with a wider audience.

These awards not only put the businesses that enter on the map  but they are also great for Kent as they have provided a medium for us to discover truly amazing world class companies that are doing great things in Kent which is something we should all be proud of.”

We’d like to say a massive congratulations to the winners of each category.  It is a huge achievement and we can’t wait to see what’s next in store for you all!

A special mention should of course be given to the other companies that were close runners-up.  I know that each and every Judge had a very difficult time picking just one winner, the quality of entrants was astounding and you should all be very proud.
